David Attenborough Hopes To Find The Abominable Snowman

Yeti is not a myth, yet.

David Attenborough is one of the few men on the planet to have a creature named after him. It’s quite an exclusive little club. He has also been a dedicated activist on raising awareness of our planet since the 1950’s when he became a broadcaster on BBC with a show called ‘Zoo Quest’. Years later he would become Director of Programming. And that would be enough for most men, but not him. Attenborough wants to find a Yeti.
The Yeti, also known as the abominable snowman, has been said to live in the Himalayan Mountains. Not exactly the most comfortable vacation spot. But there is more evidence then just local lore. Teeth, to be exact. Almost one hundred years ago someone found molar teeth six times the size of a humans in a Chinese druggist’s store. So there is evidence to support the claim.
Something with teeth that large is simply another discovery to look forward to, in Attenborough’s opinion. A giant hairy ape that has eluded capture so far is just the thing for a man who has discovered creatures great and small, including spiders and dinosaurs.
Attenborough has spent decades exploring our planet, and in that time has introduced generations to the wonder of nature. So finding the elusive Yeti is a fitting final exploration.
“I wouldn’t mind finding the Abominable Snowman,” he says.
